Water Stones
With a deep connection with the Ocean, March Birthstones often represent the blues and greens of tropical waters. The traditional birthstone, aquamarine, is derived from the Latin translation "water of the sea" but aquamarine is not the only gemstone associated with March or the zodiac signs of Pisces or Aries.
Amethyst for February
February's Birthstone; Amethyst, is a common variety of Quartz that is easily one of the most recognisable gemstones on the planet. With its spectacular purple colour, that ranges from deep violet to light lilac, it complements both warm and cool colours. Derived from the Greek word “Amethustos” it roughly translates to “sober” or “not intoxicated”. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed Amethyst would ward off the intoxicating powers of Bacchus; God of Wine and Agriculture, keeping them clear-headed.
